By now you have experienced the breadth and depth of the digital primary sources available at the Library of Congress.  Now the question becomes which primary sources will you use and how will you use them to support student learning.  Think about what you will be teaching when you return to the classroom and write an Essential Question.

Essential Question Criteria:

·         Is it a big idea that has value beyond the classroom?

·         Is the idea at the heart of the discipline?

·         Is the idea complex enough that it requires uncoverage?

·         Will the idea engage students?
